Evolution is part of every human being. Everything changes. To adapt, to improve. It is time for us to change, too.

As you can see, we worked on a brand new website, cooler looking and more functional. There might be some bugs left around, so please be patient and let us know, so we can fix everything as soon as possible!

This new site, with all the challenges we had to face is the main reason why we are a bit late with all the announcement this year. We know a lot of you are ready to submit proposal for our CFP and can’t wait to get tickets for the conference. So, here are our deadlines for our next PyCon:

• CFP: opens on the 5th of December 2019 - Closes on the 6th of January 2020
• Community Voting: 6th - 26th January 2020
• Schedule: 2nd February 2020

And here are the closing days for our ticket fares:

• Early Bird: closes 2nd February 2020
• Regular: closes 29th February 2020
• Late: closes 29th March 2020
• On-Desk: until the end of the conference

This year we will have some new changes for PyCon. As you know we work hard to make this conference more welcoming for the community, more interesting in terms of contents and also more diverse and inclusive.

This is why this year we will host sprints during the conference, as well as increase the budget for grants and financial aids. Grant requests will always be a lot and soon we will open a section on our site with all the information you might need. The closing will be the same as the closing for the CFP and we will send returns privately around the publication of the schedule.

This year we also decided to organise a child-care service. We will provide all the details on that soon. We will also try to make our budget and spending publicly available as well as all the results on our initiative on diversity, environment and all the grants we have given to attendees.
